There are grant opportunities through the 1001 New Worshiping Communities movement to help fund your new community. Get started by exploring the Discernment Guide and the grant cycle below.
Seed Grant
This one-time grant for up to $10,000 is designed to encourage the birth of new worshipping communities.
Applicants will have spent time in prayer, discernment and fact-finding regarding your call to address spiritual and/or physical needs in your communities and the resources necessary for your outreach.
Investment Grant
At least one year after receiving a Seed Grant, a one-time grant of up to $30,000 is possible, to provide for the next eighteen months. Approval is conditioned upon real progress toward completing the tasks named in the booklet above.
A matching grant from a congregation, presbytery, synod, or in-kind donation required.
Growth Grant
At least eighteen months after receiving an Investment Grant, a one-time grant of up to $30,000 is possible. Approval is conditioned upon significant progress being made toward meeting the goals and objectives as outlined in the Investment Grant proposal.
