New communities, even with all the power of the Spirit, they don’t just happen. Jesus was a fan of garden imagery, so we like to say each new community is like an individual plant. They require some tending, cultivation and care. And even more so - they’ll grow better if they’re in a garden with other healthy plants. Our goal is to create an ecosystem that supports that garden. We want you to create what the Spirit is calling in you, while we make sure you have the water, light, dirt you need.
Too much garden? Well, here’s the stuff we know will help you do what you’re doing. Use it. Use us. We want to grow together.
Get in touch! We want to know who you are and what you’re up to. The better we know you, the more we’re able to connect you with resources you might need.
Grace is free. Creating new communities isn’t. Through 1001 New Worshiping Communities and our commission’s financial resources through Heartland Presbytery, we have some opportunities for you to receive funding. Check out our grant info., and let us know how we can help.
Planting a new community is hard. We’ve learned that supporting each other along the way is essential. Come to one of our monthly “discerner gatherings” to connect with other leaders in different stages of doing what you’re doing. Good food and drink always provided.
